Raila goofs on Constitution Bill
all:
while my position on the constitution bill awaiting plebiscite has been fully spoghtlighted before, i was taken by suprise a few minutes ago, when in the 9.00 p.m prime time news, roads minister raila odinga, in full glares of television light, during a well attended NO rally in isiolo, urged residents to avoid reading copies of the constitution with which they had been supplied, and instead throw them away 'kama takataka."
whereas the merits and demerits of the draft constitution bill are beyond the purview of this posting this drizzling evening, i cannot but fault the honorable raila, and other leaders in the political spectrum from both camps, who appear to have made cashing in on voters ignorance a handmade of their opinion policy!
inevitable therefore, inhabitants of isiolo who returned mr odinga`s request with a chorus of approval, go to the november 21st epoch making voting without a sober understanding of the draft bill, a point to which i may later return. an understanding consequent upon which they would, presumably, make an informed decision.
on kenya`s upcoming referendum then, i can only lament, as with mwalimu edari, kweli duniani kuna vituko vingi sana!
ewe mwenyezi mungu tusaidie!
n`otiya nbo.
