Tuju has made bold claims on political patronage in Nyanza and demanded an end ot it to allow people with divergent views be allowed to freely express their opinions without threats and intimidation.
Tuju also wants Roads Minister Raíla Odínga to come clear of how nominations in kenyan Nyanza were conducted prior to 2002 generals elections, challenging Raíla to state why he was favoured over Moses Owiti during the nominations.
Raíla was reported in a section of the press on Tuesday claiming that he propelled Tuju to parliament though he had lost nominations to Owiti.
The last general election 2002 was merely an opportunity for Raíla to abuse the people’s trust and oversee the appointment of members of his family dynasty to parliament. Non-relatives were compelled to purchase the party nomination certificates at exorbitant prices. One can only conclude that the grand plan is to turn Nyanza into a family serfdom complete with prefects and a firm resource base viz:
Hon. Jakoyo Midiwo – first cousin and prefect of Siaya district, Hon. Gor Sunguh – brother-in-law and prefect of Kisumu district, Hon. Dr. Oburu Odínga – brother and prefect of Bondo district, Hon. Odhiambo Omamba – “father in law” and prefect of Migori district.
In short party nominations were nothing but a “banana” democratic exercise to legitimize and sanitize the selection of your rich friends and relatives.
Sadly, your merry band has focused all its energies on “dok eliete and liete”. This is a strategy in mass distraction through cultural emotion as a brand of opium for the dispossessed. While we respect our dead, your leadership appears to have no plan for the living poor of kenyan Nyanza!
Raíla has acted in a ILLEGAL mafia like way and committed electoral FRAUD, one of the worst things one can do to in a DEMOCRACY, denying people representation through ILLEGAL manipulation and BRIBERY!
Raíla is not the first Kenyan to do this, Kenyatta did, Moi did, Njonjo did it too. Kenyatta got rid of MP who did not toe the like by manipulating the nomination process (Kaggia and Njagi Kibuga of Ndia lost in this manner), Moi did it to his enemies, GG Kariuki, among others, Njonjo got a seat for himself by paying off am MP and now Raíla is doing the same denying various constituencies their choice of representation. The fact that others did it does not make it acceptable. It is such machinations that drove Kenyans to demand a constitution that safeguards their democratic rights which CORRUPT politicians like Raíla abuse with IMPUNITY. It is no wonder a constitution with such safeguards is deemed a threat by some politicians.
Raílas self confessions and Tujus revelations show Raíla's lack of INTEGRITY and political maturity and his aversion to electoral DEMOCRARY. Raíla is an activist and rebel to the last drop in his veins and a threat/ obstacle to civil government and our budding DEMOCRARY.
Having confessed to breaching the laws of our land in committing election FRAUD, Raíla should be charged and jailed for the crimes he commited in RIGGING the 2002 elections.

Raíla is to blame for the deaths in Kisumu if he wasn't paying thugs to attack Banana supporters and the police the Kid would still be alive. Raíla's hooligans people tried to storm a police station and there were no options open...you never storm a police station. And why the hell did they go disrupt the meeting knowing that the police would deal with them, they say policemen beat Banana supporters in Thika so what made them think they were unique. Raíla's hooligans injured scores of policemen even robbing police of off their guns. However even cops have a right to defend themselves when attacked by hired goons. There are pictures of guns in the Orange hooligan’s hands so they could have shot people themselves. "Kisumu Polytechnic students display a pistol used to shoot one of their colleagues during a Yes campaign rally held at Moi Stadium at the weekend." That is so cynical guns in the hands of orange supporters were used to shoot people then blame the police. Raíla should stop paying kids to riot then accusing the police of "genocide". The Orange guys need to look up the meaning of the word genocide in a dictionary. Until Raíla learns what free speech and democracy are, he will keep leading his tribesmen to their own destruction. i dont blame those guys for dying, they are just getting hynotised by Raíla football, tsunami nonsense. The blood is on the hands of those who want to prevent others from expressing their free speech rights. Raíla has the blood of innocents on his hands and why wasn't he there himself leading the rioting instead of misusing kids. Raíla is a coward and no amount of blame shifting will absolve him of these crime. He behaved like Saddam Hussein using kids and civilians as human shields to protect his thugs
