Collusion of officials to allow irregularities

Intimidation of voters within the polling area
Transportation of voters by referendum committees/sides or their agents
Refusing eligible and qualified voters from voting
Introduction of fake election materials to the polling station
Creating a violent environment around a polling station so as to deter voting
Not allowing referendum sides or their agents to place their seals on the packets for the election materials at the close of voting
Unnecessarily high number of government officials and vehicles at or near polling stations
What can I do to prevent corruption?
How can I help?
Check if politicians and political parties abide by all the requirements under the referendum laws
Observe the conduct of staff of Electoral Commission Kenya, which should impartially and firmly apply the law to the letter
Assist observers in their work by availing them useful information
As an observer I should be intimately aware of the legal procedures and watch that all parties concerned abide by them, as well as diligently note down how the procedures are followed and look out for any irregularities that occur
Do not allow yourself to be involved in acts of rigging and if you observe any irregularities, document and bring them to the attention of ECK and, where appropriate, the police
