Raila vows to travel by water

LDP supreme leader Raila Odinga has said he will no longer travel by Air, Road, or Rail. He said that some people who are after his life are making plans to sabotage his trips. Mr. Odinga has now taken into the water.
Sources within ODM say that Raila plans to travel by water to the ODM rally in Mombasa planned for next weekend. He will row his canoe on the Mutoine River from Kibera. He will then join the Nairobi river then switch over to the Athi river which joins the Tsavo river. He will carry his canoe when he gets to the Lugard falls then get back to the water at the bottom of the falls on the Galana river. This will take him to the Indian ocean.
Having been brought up along the shores of Lake Victoria and the daily baths at the Maranda Pond when he was a student at Maranda Boys gives Raila to an advantage.
The most dangerous part of the trip will be crossing the Nyika Plateau where the Galana is infested with crocodiles. Raila has accused Mungatana for planning to unleash crocodiles on him. Raila said that his sources indicate that Mungatana has been busy transporting crocodiles from the Tana River and dumping them in the Galana. Mr. Odinga said that he had given a detailed map and number plates of government trucks to the KWS but the government is doing nothing.
Raila said that the Mercenaries hired by Kibaki are also good animal handlers. He told the press that the mercenaries own an animal park in Thailand and that the government had given them Kenyan animals for free.
The patron of KWS Dr. Richard Leaky denied Raila's allegations saying that they were far fetched. Dr. Leaky said that the Galana River has been home to fierce crocodiles for millions of years. Dr. Leaky pointed out to the fossils uncovered by his mother.
Meanwhile Mungatana has dared Raila to travel on the Tana. Mungatana said that the Tana crocodiles are fiercer than the L. Victoria crocs. He said that those crocodiles would rip Raila into pieces.
Mungatana's remarks seemed to have stirred the hornets’ nest. In a rejoinder 20 Nyanza MPs jumped in to defend Raila. The MPs led by Otieno Kajwang and Ayiecho Olweny said that the government wanted to kill Raila. The promised bring down the government should Raila die from any cause.
Efforts to reach the government spokesman Dr. Alfred Mutua for comment were fruitless.
