KENYAN WOMAN KILLED IN GERMANY
The Kenyan Community Abroad – German Chapter regrets to announce the brutal shooting to death of a twenty-four year old Kenyan woman in Erfurt, Germany, by her German husband of three years. The late Victoria Njoroge was shot (gunshots) several times at about 10.00 p.m. on 5 September 2005 under unclear circumstances. Ms. Victoria Njoroge is survived by three-year old, Master Peter Njoroge. The victim’s parents are both departed.
The local Erfurt police are holding the suspect while criminal investigations are ongoing. Ms. Nancy Njoroge, the victim’s elder sister, who also lives in Erfurt, has informed KCA-Germany that Master Peter Njoroge has controversially been put under the custody of the suspect’s ex-wife by the local juvenile office (Jugendamt), despite expressing her willingness to take custody of her close nephew.
KCA-Germany is closely working with Ms. Nancy Njoroge to arrange for the transportation of the body to Mombasa, Kenya for burial. However, the police have not yet released the body, as forensic investigations were incomplete at the time of going to press. The Kenyan Mission in Berlin is also assisting the victim’s sister in other ways. Moreover, the German authorities have provided a lawyer for the victim’s family as required by German law.
Unfortunately, the late Victoria’s insurance does not include burial expenses, nor does the family have the money needed for shipping the body to Kenya. KCA-Germany therefore humbly appeals to Kenyans of goodwill living in Germany, Europe, USA and elsewhere to make their online donations in order to raise the estimated Euro 5000.00 required to send the body to Mombasa for burial. Those willing to assist are kindly asked to make contributions to: -
