DES MOINES, Iowa A Kenyan woman admits she married a Polk County man to stay in the country. Christine Otieno has pleaded guilty to marriage fraud and will be deported to Kenya. Otieno was convicted of marrying the man in 2003 to avoid immigration laws. Prosecutors say she had no intention of living with him as husband and wife. She also filed a document to immigration officials falsely claiming she was married. Otieno was sentenced to time served. She has been in custody since June 1. Copyright 2005 Associated Press.
